“I own I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive.” – Thomas Jefferson, Letter to James Madison, 1787
Government
We believe that in a Free Market Social System, i.e., a social system without a centralized governing body. However, because our social system is controlled by a formalized government, we believe that individuals should take an active part in politics to restore and protect individuals rights and to change the current process of government.
To be a responsible individual one must assume full responsibility for one’s life, i.e., to provide for all of one’s needs and desires through individual effort and/or by exchanging products, services or other values. Each individual should take credit for his/her achievements and accept responsibility for his/her errors. In order to achieve this one must be free from coercive intervention. When a governing body of a society passes laws that interfere with this process it is impossible for the individual to be fully responsible. Any law that forces an individual to accept services, products, etc., from others or forces them to pay for products or services that are provided to others; enslaves the individual and is a hindrance to his/her opportunity to be totally responsible for his/her own life.
We believe that each person has the responsibility to research the philosophy of freedom and individual responsibility. We believe in making this wisdom known to those who are limiting our freedom.
We believe that we are endowed with the potential to pursue happiness and make the most of our lives. Forcing individuals to be wards of the state is a threat to their creative growth and upward development. A guaranteed life is not free and it is not safe. It causes untold harm to the productive person.
We believe these laws should be eliminated because they deny individuals their freedom, their rights, and the opportunity to be totally responsible for their life’s desires, requirements for survival and productivity and happiness.
